A new device is being hailed as a medical breakthrough.
一个新的装置被敬为医学上的突破。Developed at the Ohio State University, the dime-sized silicone chip can reportedly start healing damaged organs with a single touch.
这个技术由美国俄亥俄州立大学研发,据称,这个十分硬币大小的芯片可以治愈受损的器官。
It uses techonology called tissue nanotransfection (or TNT).
它运用TNT技术。
The researchers explained this process “injects genetic code into skin cells,turning those skin cells into other types of  cells required for treating diseased conditions."
研究者解释过程是将“基因码注入皮肤细胞中,将那些皮肤细胞转变成治疗疾病所需的细胞类型。”
In lab tests,scientists found mice with injured legs only needed one touch of  TNT to turn skin cells into vascular cells  that then healed their legs within three weeks.
在实验室试验中,科学家发现腿受伤的老鼠只需接触一下TNT,其皮肤细胞就变成血管细胞,这种细胞在3个星期内就治愈了受伤的腿。
The device also converted skin cells into nerve cells which were then injected to the brains of mice who had suffered strokes and brain function was reportedly restored.
这种装置还将皮肤细胞变成神经细胞,然后将这些神经细胞注入到患有中风的老鼠脑子里,注射后,它们的大脑功能恢复正常了。
A study published in the journal Nature Nanotechonology suggests this is the first time cells have been reprogrammed in a living body.
在自然科学杂志上发布的一项研究称这是第一次在活体上对细胞进行重新编码。
TNT may start being tested on humans within the year.
年内TNT可能就开始在人体上进行测试。
